On Friday, 21 November, we hosted a successful Open Day at the HortiDemo Centre. Several industry partners—including Rijk Zwaan, Koppert, Control Union, Delphy, Glencairns, and Greener Solutions—joined us to showcase their products and innovations. We also had a dedicated table representing the Agronomy Department for students or visitors who had questions about the modules and research activities within the department.
The event was open to students, researchers, farmers, and the broader community, providing an opportunity for networking, live demonstrations, and an inside look at the ongoing projects at the Centre.
We were pleased to welcome students and lecturers from West Coast TVET College and Stellenbosch University, who engaged actively with our team and industry partners throughout the morning.
